Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the VolleyConnect mobile application and related services (the "Service"), operated by VolleyConnect ("VolleyConnect", "we", "us", or "our"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility and Accounts

• You must provide accurate registration information and keep it up to date.
• You are responsible for safeguarding your credentials and for all activity under your account.
• Accounts are either parent/athlete accounts or club accounts; each has different features and responsibilities.
• Where a minor uses the Service, a parent or legal guardian is responsible for that use.

2. The Service

VolleyConnect lets volleyball clubs create profiles and lets parents and athletes browse, save, and connect with clubs. We may add, change, or remove features at any time. Club profiles and any verification status are provided for informational purposes; we do not guarantee the accuracy of user-submitted content.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Post false, misleading, unlawful, infringing, or harmful content.
• Impersonate another person or club, or misrepresent your affiliation.
• Harass, endanger, or attempt to identify or contact minors improperly.
• Attempt to bypass entitlement checks, verification, security, or rate limits.
• Scrape, reverse-engineer, or interfere with the Service or its infrastructure.

4. Club Content and Verification

Clubs are responsible for the accuracy of their profiles. Clubs that request verification must submit accurate owner details and a valid ID document and agree to the separate Club Verification Agreement. Submitting false information may result in rejection, removal, or termination.

5. Premium Subscriptions and Billing

• Certain features are offered through a paid Premium subscription for clubs.
• Subscriptions are purchased and billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play under their respective terms; we do not process card payments directly.
• Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled through the applicable app store. Manage or cancel renewal in your app-store account settings.
• Refunds are handled by the app store in accordance with its policies.
• Premium entitlements are enforced by us server-side. On downgrade or lapse, Premium-only content and posts are removed and are not restored on re-subscription.

6. User Content and License

You retain ownership of content you submit. You grant VolleyConnect a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, display, and distribute that content as needed to operate and promote the Service. You represent that you have the rights to the content you submit.

7. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its software, design, and trademarks, is owned by VolleyConnect and its licensors and is protected by law. These Terms grant you a limited, revocable, non-transferable license to use the Service for its intended purpose.

8. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time and delete your account. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms, submit false verification information, or create risk to others or the Service. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends; provisions that by their nature should survive will survive.

9. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, to the maximum extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that user-submitted content is accurate.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, VolleyConnect will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, revenue, or goodwill arising from your use of the Service.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the app or by other reasonable means, and the "Last updated" date above will be revised. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

12. Privacy

Our handling of personal data is described in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

13. Subscription Terms

By purchasing a subscription within the VolleyConnect app, you agree to the following terms:

Billing and Payments

All subscription payments are processed securely through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. You authorize the respective platform to charge your chosen payment method for the applicable subscription fees and any associated taxes in accordance with their billing terms.

Automatic Renewals

Unless canceled, all subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing cycle (monthly or annually, depending on your selection). You acknowledge and agree that renewal charges will be automatically processed unless you cancel your subscription at least 24 hours prior to the renewal date.

Managing Your Subscription

Subscriptions must be managed or canceled directly through your App Store or Play Store account settings. Deleting the VolleyConnect app, signing out, or uninstalling the app does not cancel an active subscription. You remain responsible for any charges that accrue prior to the cancellation taking effect.

Pricing Changes

VolleyConnect reserves the right to modify subscription pricing or features at any time. If prices increase, we will notify you in advance through the App Store or Play Store in accordance with platform policies. Continued use of the subscription after a price change constitutes your agreement to the new pricing.

Platform Control

All billing, renewals, and refunds for subscriptions purchased via the Apple App Store or Google Play Store are managed directly by those platforms. VolleyConnect does not have access to, nor control over, individual user billing accounts or payment details.

Subscription Refund and Cancellation Policy

All Sales Are Final

All subscription purchases made through the VolleyConnect app are final and non-refundable, except where required by applicable law or platform policy. Because payments are processed through Apple or Google, VolleyConnect cannot issue direct refunds.

Refund Requests

If you believe you are eligible for a refund, submit the request directly through the platform where you made your purchase:

• Apple App Store: Report a Problem
• Google Play Store: Request a Refund

No Partial Refunds or Credits

VolleyConnect does not provide partial refunds or credits for unused time, early cancellation, or periods of inactivity.

User Responsibility

You are solely responsible for managing your subscription, ensuring timely cancellation if you choose to discontinue service, and maintaining valid payment information. Failure to cancel before renewal constitutes your acceptance of the renewed billing period.

Chargebacks and Disputes

By subscribing, you agree not to initiate chargebacks for valid transactions. Any disputes must first be addressed through VolleyConnect’s customer support team. If unresolved, disputes will be handled through binding arbitration as outlined in the Dispute Resolution section of these Terms.
